The introduction of the Euro was symbolically marked in Kraš choco&café

With the new year, Croatia entered the eurozone and replaced the Kuna with a new official currency - the Euro. As it is an important event for Croatia, the introduction of the new currency was marked by appropriate official events. Among them was the meeting of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, who symbolically paid for their coffee in Euros in the Kraš choco&café in the center of Zagreb on Ban Jelačić Square. On that occasion, the Prime Minister presented the President of the European Commission von der Leyen with a special souvenir - Kraš's handmade Zagreb Cathedral.

We would like to remind you that the Kraš store in Zagreb on Trg ban Jelačić was one of the first locations where the then newly introduced kuna currency was spent in 1994. This time too, Kraš was a witness to a historic event for our country and part of a moment that is important for all Croatian citizens. We are especially proud of the continuous presence of Kraš, the sharing of experiences and the joint creation of memories on occasions that are important for our entire society.
